Attis Bodegas y Viñedos is located in the centre of Val do Salnés, a small village located on the hillside of Mount Penaguda. The family-run winery own and cultivate 5 hectares of vines divided into small plots located between 100 and 400 metres of altitude. The soils are loam and sandy with a strong influence from the Atlantic Ocean.
Laranxa (orange) references the method of production of this wine; macerated on Albariño grape skins to extract tannin, colour and flavour. The vineyards are between 35 and 40 years of age and are situated on granite and sandy- clay soils. Grapes are hand harvested and carefully sorted before they are brought to the winery. De-stemming followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats ensues. Extended maceration of 10 days occurs with two punch downs per day using a pneumatic press. Wine is then aged on its lees with batonnage (stirring); wine is fined and filtered before it is bottled.
