Taste: |
A densely flavoured of Aglianico from Basilica. The wine is dry, full-bodied and balanced by the presence of elevated acidity and prevalent tannins. The fruit is tart and ripe showing red cherry, raspberry, black currant and blackberries. There is a spicy quality to the palate; notes of peppercorn, cinnamon and star anise. There is an underlying red rose floral component to the wine and dusty dried leaves and earth on the finish. The wine has a long length and is perfectly balanced. |
