Sekt Millesimato Brut Peter Zemmer
Millesimato Brut from Peter Zemmer is a blend of Riesling and Chardonnay.
The grapes for the exceptional cuvée are grown at an elevation of 450 meters above sea level.
The favorable location of the vineyards, with ideal sun exposure and ventilation, ensures grape production of exceptional quality.
After harvest is complete, the grapes are brought to the winery for pressing, destemming, cooling of the must, and fermentation in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.
The second fermentation is completed using the Charmat method (or “cuve close”); a sparkling winemaking process that traps bubbles in wine via carbonation in large steel tanks. Once this process is complete, the wine is left on its lees at a temperature of 14 °C for a period of 6-9 months. The juice is then separated from its lees, cooled, and bottled; where it is aged for 3 months prior to being released to the market.
An exuberant blend of Riesling and Chardonnay from Alto Adige that begs for aperitivo hour! The wine hosts tart and ripe lime, green apple, and bosc pear. There is a beautiful lily and jasmine floral note to the wine with underlying notes of beeswax and saltine cracker crumb. The wine is dry, medium-bodied and lively.
Drink now or age up to 4 years.
The ideal aperitif, or pair with raw shellfish, salumi, or fried food such as arancini, or a fried chicken sandwich.
